Four teams from three countries form the heart of the Formula 3 Euro Series’ field for the current season. In total, they are entering twelve drivers from eight different nations. The defending champions, French outfit Signature, led by Philippe Sinault, is entering four Dallara-Volkswagen cars for German drivers Marco Wittmann and Daniel Abt, Belgian Laurens Vanthoor and Columbian Carlos Muñoz. Wittmann, Vanthoor and Muñoz will be having their second season in the Formula 3 Euro Series, but for Abt, the championship is new. However, the German driver already caught a lot of attention with a remarkable performance in the unofficial Formula 3 world finale at Macau last year.
