ATS’s commitment as the exclusive wheel supplier to the Formula 3 Euro Series dates back as far as 2003. All of the single-seat racers of the world’s most demanding Formula 3 Series continue to run on wheels of the tradition-steeped brand, ATS.

As an innovative and competent original equipment supplier to the automobile industry, ATS continuously researches, develops and designs new cutting edge technology, which can be transferred to the activities in motorsport. Formula 3, for example, experienced a trendsetting technical innovation with special aluminium wheels from ATS. Using low pressure die casting technology, the mid-sized company based in Bad Dürkheim succeeded in transferring the weight conditions of the much more cost-intensive magnesium wheels to aluminium wheels. The new, light-weight aluminium Formula 3 wheels from ATS have been exclusively used since 2006 in the Formula 3 Euro Series as well as in the ATS Formula 3 Cup. In addition, they are being used in international Formula 3 sport.

As early as in 1977, ATS attracted attention in Formula 1 with a team of its own, emerging as a “global player” overnight. Today, ATS, which belongs to the UNIWHEELS Group, is the technology leader in the segment of large-sized wheels: ATS supplies products to all leading automotive manufacturers. 1,800 employees produce approximately seven million wheels annually at plants in Germany and Poland.
