Sporting Regulation 2011

Race weekend

Three races per event.

Day 1

A “Pre Event Test” of 2x 60 minutes, separated by a 5 minutes’ break. Exceptions: Le Castellet and Silverstone, 1x 60 min. each.
Qualifying: 30 minutes. The second-fastest lap time of each driver decides on the starting grid positions for race 1, the fastest lap time determines the starting grid positions for race 3.

Day 2

Race 1: approx. 110 km, maximum 40 minutes.

Race 2: approx. 55 km, maximum 20 minutes. The starting grid is based on the result of race 1 with the top eight in reversed order.

Day 3

Race 3: approx. 110 km, maximum 40 minutes.

Race 2    
1st place: 10 points   5th place: 4 points

In 2011, there is no additional point for pole position.

Rookie classification

In the 2011 season, a driver is considered as a “rookie” when he has only raced cars with less performance than a Formula 3 car and has competed in a Formula 3 car in a maximum of three events.
