ATS - Partners of Formula 3 Euro Series

In a very short period of time, ATS succeeded in establishing itself as a market leader in the Formula-3-wheel area. ATS has been the exclusive tyre supplier of the Formula 3 Euro Series since 2003. In 2008, all the single-seaters on the grid of the challenging Formula 3 series will roll on wheels supplied by ATS.

As an innovative and competent equipment manufacturer for the automotive industry, ATS consistently researches, designs and realises technical innovations. The results of these efforts are often incorporated in motor racing. For example, ATS’ special aluminium Formula 3 wheels represented a groundbreaking innovation. By manufacturing the wheels in a low-pressure casting process, the Bad Dürkheim-based company successfully produced aluminium wheels that are as light as more expensive magnesium wheels. Since 2006, the new lightweight ATS Formula 3 wheels have been exclusively used in both the Formula 3 Euro Series and the ATS Formula 3 Cup – and the same applies to international Formula 3 racing.

In 1977, ATS caused a stir in Formula 1 by entering an own team and turning into a ‘Global Player’ virtually overnight. Today, ATS – a subsidiary of the UNIWHEELS Group – is the technology leader in the large-size wheels market and supplies every renowned automobile manufacturer. With1,800 employees working in the its German and Polish plants, ATS produces about seven million wheels per year.
