The Kumho Tire Company headquartered in Seoul was founded in 1960. Today, it is one of the world’s leading tyre manufacturers. In motorsport, Kumho in 2008 is again the exclusive tyre supplier to the Formula 3 Euro Series, the world’s most powerful Formula 3 Championship. The Masters of Formula 3 at Zolder is also again exclusively supported by Kumho Tyres. The company is also a supplier to numerous teams contesting the 24 Hours of Le Mans; last year Kumho won the fiercely competitive LMP2 class there. In addition, aligned with the respective national focal areas, there are specific Kumho motorsport events in numerous European countries. Examples include the VLN Endurance Championship, including the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring Nordschleife or events in the British and Irish Rally Championship.
